Developing Minimalism in Pastel Colours

I have, of course still been experimenting. I wouldn’t be me otherwise. It can sometimes be a little overwhelming if I’m honest, flitting from one thing to another. At least I know this and understanding it, I have been this way all my life. Actually, I remember now why I used to like writing on a blog way back in the day. The process of thinking about the writing seems to slow things down for me and help me focus more about what I’m doing. Perhaps more of a good thing is in order.

Anyways, one of the things I have thought about this last few days is how AI art in really in its infancy. I was reading this and that about it and no one seems to be coming up with anything definitive. I was reminded of the early days of photography and how no one thought it would ever be accepted as art. It was said to be just a mechanical representation and in no way creative, you know like real arts, painting and sculpture. Sounds familiar really.

So, getting round to the pictures. One of the first things people used photography for was, unironically, a form of social media. I should be only using the term loosely but people would have a calling card with a picture of themselves on it and leave it for someone to look at. You can search for something like “Victorian calling card”. As I remember the calling card was around first and it was more like a business card today and people added pictures later on. Fascinating really.

I included the 3rd one here because she has a nose ring, such wonder.

As you can see I haven’t got it right and if I’m honest I don’t even know where this might go. but I’m happy to try it.

Might make a real one, seems quite dapper, if I may.

The main part of what I’ve been looking at is of course the pastel colouring. I mentioned the “in the style of” images and have been developing this a little since some of them have an ethereal sci-fi quality I like. The main aspects of this though are the things I wrote about in the previous post and wait til the end for a big reveal! 🙂

So thinking about the Minimalist Urban Landscape I’m finding where this can take me around the area and inside the buildings. I wonder who lives there and what they are like, what other building are about, is there any nature and trees, these are all things I’m yet to come up with but as always I really do enjoy the world building and will keep this going so I can figure it all out.

The Big Reveal!

See you didnt have to wait that long. I sold an original artwork! I’m really happy about it, it was one of the item that I thought I would need to be more established to sell, it was after all … in my style!

As always, be happy people.
