So when I ordered the new AI generated images as prints I used the printers I always used for the photography, they are professionals after all and everything has always been amazing. It not just reminded me that going out and taking pictures is an amazing thing but having those real world prints in hand is also awesome.
The thing I remembered then was I still have printed photos. I went looking for them. Again it is obvious that I still have photography in my life, you only need to see the links on this site for my 500px or older posts on my facebook but looking at real world prints, you know, I’m soooo used to seeing my own work that I didnt really think about the images I have on my own wall!
Yeah the wall is in a bad state.
There’s a couple of images in there that are clearly influential to the things I do now. The telephone lines in particular. The thing I really love in this is the book draft. The image there with text pages. If you zoom in you can see the outline and thinking of the work going on. Its actually inspiring me to make a new one to tell the story of Pastel World.
Some of these are really small and some are finished prints, there are more of them including exposure tests, reference images and advertising sets, some of which I obviously shouldnt publish. But, I have really enjoyed this process, I think there are more and hopefully I can find them to show you.
